Dayum, how I love this con! SO MANY PEOPLE WTF JAPANCON! The quality of cosplay is manic and inspiring, the people PLAIN ROCK, and the streets are a bitch to navigate! I LOVE BRISBANE SO MUCH!
EVERYONE LIVES IN A FREAKING MANSION!! Seriously!!
Staying at Twinny ~Mint-ice-tea's MANSION was a lot of fun with epic people like *Miyukiko*AmenoKitarou*Wakaleo=ZuZuMoo*K-chan009*ClamWings and MUMMY WHO CAME DOWN FROM SINGAPORE!!! *hiyuki So much funtiems..I love you guys!
Got to do lots of fun things like EATING PORK BELLY AND DUCK WITH WILL!! Oh god Willu..you're my partner for life in artery clogging meals

At the con itself I didn't have much time to do socialising, I had an important job to do for judging the Madman Comp so most of my day was taken up with that. Apologies to anyone I missed out on seeing as we did incredibly thorough pre and post-judging. The standard of competition was very high and stunning! Always impressed with you Brisbane! Got to befriend a few new competitors, (for some it was onyl their first or second cosplay!) welcome back those re-entering and of course some wonderful familiar interstaters from Sydney xD
Glad to have given a lot of constructive feedback to the newcomers to cosplay in the comp and encouragement to keep going. Cosplay can be daunting for those new to the hobby (hell I remember my first time with much fear hahaha) and I wanted to do my best to welcome them to the hobby and make them feel loved for having the guts to get out there and do their best!
I am so happy that everyone had such a positive experience competing and the standards have only inspired them to come back and grow in what they know!!

In the end, congratulations to the ever wonderful *zimiel who placed 1st! Talk about doing an epic job to defend her home title!!! She was breathtaking and definitely in a class of her own! Everyone was uniformly blown away by her wonderful craftsmanship, fantastic skit and acting! I really look forward to seeing what she'll be bringing to finals, congrats sweety! Your win was well deserved!
Congratulations also to *AmenoKitarou and *Tsubaki-chan for placing 2nd and 3rd respectively. Will's incredible Shiva bike and skit with himself and "Serah" had the entire audience in stitches..I think we all had trouble breathing and my sides hurt..it was incredibly well written and creative! I think it's some of his best craftsmanship ever so he completely deserved it!! ILU Will!! We did celebrate by eating lots of fat. 8D
Tsubaki was incredibly glittery (Gaga would approve) and wonderful in her billowing Sakura dress and her singing was gorgeous in her skit, not to mention some wonderfully epic and somewhat dangerous creative usage of those popping canisters! I very much enjoyed her costume and skit and she was well deserving of her placing! <33 I'm also happy that she gets to remain alive and won't be baked alive by Kenny too and I know there is much awesome planned for the upcoming Sydney round! Can't wait!! xD

I must NOT FORGET TO MENTION the STUNNING =Emiko-Sakura in her beautiful C.C dress (oh my C.C!!! How I love you!!! I can't wait for us to shoot together!!! <333) Also team Bean Sprouts for doing a very cute D-Gray man performance (Love you guys!) and Tina darling in her beautifully constructed Girl!Ciel with her hilarious and awesome skit!!! xDD (So impressed!)

Sunday I was hardly even at the con because that morning was TWELVE KINGDOMS PORN FUNTIEMS With K, Sabina and Miyu!!!

Using the LANGUAGE SKILLZZZZ of *Miyukiko and ~reiicharu (who was also our fantastic photographer) We got allowed into this GORGEOUS TEMPLE for our shoot! Kyaaa!!! So much awesome..
There was much lols to be had as well as epic photos and I got to wear my GAY PURPLEY EMPEROR COSTUME!!! I had finishing touches to do to it the night before but I had been working on it for about two weeks..one week being the damn wig alone!!! @___@ I was lucky my head even fit in the car..

Anyway..totally stole this pic off Sabina's journal which has a more detailed report on our cracktackery~ [link] but it sums up our madness~


So after the shoot we made it to the con only for me to end up falling asleep due to EXTREEEME EXHAUSTION AND NO SLEEP!! (Thanks Will for being my armchair) I don't remember much of the con only waking up for the Karaoke Comp in which Sabina came 1st!! WHOOOOOO SO EPIC!!!!! And everyone perving on *zimiel's Alto ass..oh yeah and *Wakaleo was THE MOST EPIC OZMA EVER!!!
Also the WONDROUS CUPCAKES OF CUPCKLAN THAT SHE BAKED FOR US!! OMG YOU ARE EPIC!!

Much love to all the new people I met during the weekend! *Mileyx,=kerryn-butterfly,*Sarapungs-tokusatsu, ~MisaZophia (CUPCKLAN!!!!), *blackjack157 (DOCTOOOOOR!!GROPINGS AND HAIRRUFFLING! <33) and please let me know if there's anyone or don't have your dA's. I am surprised I remember this much at all TBH!!

After the con was over we all piled in and went to *13-Zer0's MANSION (SERIOUSLY WHAT IS WITH ALL THESE MANSIONS BRISBANE!? GG) for SHOWERS EN MASSE whilst being serenaded by Will's piano medley.
That was the greatest shower of my life!! Then after that we all road-tripped to this foresty heaven where ~JKale lived...in..ANOTHER MANSION!!!! DON'T BELIEVE ME?! SHE HAS AN ELEVATOR IN HER HOUSE!! AN ELEVATOR, PEOPLE AND AN ART GALLERY!!! *_____*
This was where *zimiel and ~JKale had their after party of awesome!! There was cake and it was SO GOOD. OH THE CAKE!! OH THE PUNCH!! I WANT TO MAKE LOVE TO THE CAKE AND PUNCH!!
We all flailed around on each other, the floor, the cosplay room floor, got all inducted into Sabina's cult of Magic Wang, worshipped the magical soft drink can (best not to ask...) and then everyone fell asleep in *ClamWings's harem and the beanbags.

You would think it ends here right? WELL YOU'RE VERY WRONG.

The next days were spent photoshooting, EATING SO MUCH FOOD at Twinny's bakery of DELICIOUS!! HOMFG I miss his bakery goodness!!

After that we got to go back to ~JKale's MANSION!!!!!!!!!! DID I MENTION SHE HAS AN ELEVATOR IN HER HOUSE?! DID I!?! WELL SHE DOES!!
There we took shots of K's Iteza Mikhail...oh god...it was so good....it shouldn't have been as good as it was...BUT HEY!! GOOD WORK MF!! what's scary is that it's CANON.

Anyway...after that lulz..I mixed up some blood of my favourite and delicious blood recipes for KUROFAY TIEMS!!!!!!! yayayayayayayayayayayyy!!! I was so flattered I was asked to be photog too because I'm always looking for more shoots for my folio and to build skills!!

Then we had a delicious and sexy dinner with Tsubaki, Minh, Hiyu-mummy, J and other peeps in which I almost choked to death from Tsubaki's epic lols of I can't even remember what now...and we all got scared from the evil ghost Siera phone that kept calling mine.


THE NEXT DAY (oh god..this report is killing me)
I tagged along as bag bitch/shoot director to Hiyu and Twinny's Macross shoot!! KYAAA THEY WERE SO PRETTY!!! Especially ~Mint-ice-tea OHOHOHOHOHO~ I hope they post more pics soon!! We have some lol corny shots of win and I battled with a weird-ass looking bird to GTFO of the shot, but it insisted on waterbombing us. I WON! TAKE THAT RANDOM BIRD!

Ok enough Brisbane...it's freaking awesome y'all should know. We've formed Brisbourne so I don't have to travel very far to visit it again...

NEXT WEEKEND WAS MELBNOVA!! GG!
We came home to the lovely ~haraju2girls staying at our place and got to hear all about their WCS performance the previous week!! Waaah so happy for you guys!!! Totally awesome and stunning and well deserved!!! SO MUCH LOVE!!! They took out 1st place in MelbAnimania the week before like we knew they would! Earlier before Brisbane K and I made them a Kero!Star that they were so sweet and used it in their skit!! It was on stage!! I saw it!! Kyaaa I am so grateful and thankful to have so many wonderful stunning friends in the finals again this year like last year!!

Saturday was re-wearing our D'eon costumes thank goodness!! I was very happy that so many people liked our costumes!! Not only that, reknowned Fashion Industry Photographer Christian Blanchard was at the con!! He was incredibly impressed with our costumes and craftsmanship and we were floored (THIS GUY IS INDUSTRY STANDARD..INDUSTRYYYY SO HIS COMMENTS MEAN BUSINESS!!!! XDDD) He actually got our email and the email of some other people at the con (like Siera!) and guess what? We've all inspired him to be in an INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION!! To be showcased in London, New York, Tokyo and L.A. WAAAAAAH AM SO EXCITED!!!! This is the second time personally I have been asked to be in an international exhibition in cosplay (the first being a Japanese conceptual photographer for my Ashe back in 2007) but this is the first time I ADORE THE PHOTOGRAPHER'S WORK!! I really cannot wait!

As if this day could not get any better...I GOT TO MEET ONE OF MY COSPLAY IDOLS!!!! She's studying in Melb for the next two years and LOVES IT HERE! IN MELBS! xDDD We've since met up at cosplay meets and stuff and it's been so much fun...I almost fainted with shock when I saw her..it was LOL because I was the only one who knew who she was. I seriously almost fainted backstage and couldn't look at her because she was just that awesome. I've gotten over my flailingness now of course and we're friends! Though initially everyone was fanning me because I was almost going to faint. HAHAHAAHHA!! GG I'm such a loser!! xDD

Unfortunately one of our incredibly epic teams had to pull out of the Melbourne round which made me really sad as I was very much looking forward to seeing them perform!! I'm happy that they're going to be competing at AvCon instead!
We had two wonderfully epic people nonetheless!
Congratulations to *ClamWings for taking out 1st with a stunningly crafted costume, stage props and skit! It was adorable to watch and all the acrobatics were flawless! Siera was very deserving of 1st place and the audience was very much in agreeance. She was very Gaga!sparkly and her stage presence and acting was wonderful and brought a smile to everyone's face!
Massive grats to my darling Rebecca coming 2nd whom I got to have epic flailing awesometimes with too!! We both like all the same things Ohohohoho she has such excellent taste!!! xDD She competed with an entirely HANDSEWN ABEL NIGHTROAD! Props to you darling!! I admire your patience and hard work! Very much hoping you will consider competing again as I know you've learnt so much from this experience! xD

The second day was an epic combination of FRIENDS!!!!! Because we just wanted to have a hilarious crack tiem and enjoy the con!!! We smooshed together all our Alice spinoff anime/movies/manga/games into one giant group and performed the WHO THE HELL IS THE REAL ALICE!?!?!?! skit onstage!

It was so much lols and we only came up with the idea for the skit backstage. I got to be Breaklicious and emerge from Lotti's skirts claiming to be Alice (oh god he so would do that ><) and got screamed at by Heart no Siera Alice and Pandora Jess Alice 8DDDDDD We had a stand off onstage and then got broken up by Andrew Johnny Depp Mad Hatter xDDD wahahahaha It was so much fun and crack!!! I hope someone recorded it out there!!!
